Breeding Sanctuary
The breeding sanctuary is a floating island that can be unlocked at Level 25 with gems
It is located on the second island and acts almost identically to your current breeding mountain.
The difference is the sanctuary has some additional dragons that can only be bred using this island
By progressing through the 8 levels of upgrades you can unlock all these extra dragons
Initially you have to unlock the Level 1 Breeding sanctuary with 25 gems
However afterwards you can choose to level up the Breeding sanctuary with gold.
As you increase the level of your breeding sanctuary - the lower level dragons get harder to breed.
It is advised to level up only after unlocking all the dragons for the previous level.
Breeding warning
Note: Once you level the Breeding Sanctuary to level 7it is no longer possible to breed Sanctuary Level 1 Dragons
This also applies to Level 8, which adds level 2 Dragons to the mix,
At Level 8 you will have a zero percent chance to breed Sanctuary Level 1 or 2 Dragons
It is advised to use the Dragonarium to store some spare Level 1 or Level 2 Dragons before upgrading.
Dont level up your breeding sanctuary too high too quickly!

Breeding Sanctuary FAQ
Is the Breeding Sanctuary worth it?
Yes, the breeding sanctuary is a very cost effective second breeding place. Its advantages mean that you can complete more than 1 breed at a time. Plus it adds new dragons for you to breed. The early level dragons arnt that great, but one you hit level 3, you unlock new Legendary Dragon breeds that are recently easy to make.
Are there any downsides to getting the Breeding Sanctuary?
It does cost Gems, The breeding sanctuary needs to be first unlocked for 25 Gems, At this early stage in the game however there are not too many other things that are better to spend gems on. Another downside is that you will be needing to hatch more eggs in your Hatchery. So you will want to eventually upgrade your hatchery to match the number of eggs you are creating with the Breeding Sanctuary.
Should I take it slow with the Breeding Sanctuary?
Its completely up to you how quickly you want to upgrade the breeding sanctuary, Personally we recommend that you get one of each dragon before you progress to the next level, Thats why the dragon images on this page are a checklist! (Click each sanctuary dragon for them to change colour). If you want to empower a legendary, it may pay to stay on that level to breed them easier multiple times before progressing.
